Care Connect, the Social Care Innovation Hub at the Unviersity of Leeds, together with Inclusion North has announced a paid internship opportunity on ‘The rhetoric to reality of choice making for People with learning disabilities in Leeds’. Inclusion North want to develop an initial piece of research that shows the reality of choice and control in relation to Personal Budgets and changes that are currently been made in Leeds in Adult Social Care, particularly the introduction of Quality Assessors. This will allow Inclusion North to influence policy at a local and national level and track changes over the coming year. The successful Intern will work alongside staff at Inclusion North to help qualitative research through individual interviews and focus groups. It would suit doctoral, post doctoral students and early researchers. The appointment will be full-time from May to July 2014 over a 6 week period at £250 per week.
