Mobility-As-A-Service & Accessible Transport
Last week CDS colleague Bryan Matthews of the Institute for Transport Studies ran a meeting of the ITS-UK’s Inclusive Mobility Interest Group, which took place at the offices of ITS-UK in central London. TS-UK is the UK’s national organisation sharing knowledge and experience in relation to Intelligent Transport Systems. The meeting served to relaunch the group, which had not met for a couple of years. There were presentations on technologies to assist with orientation and navigation for blind and partially-sighted people and on the opportunities and threats posed by developments in Mobility As A Service (MAAS) in relation to older and disabled people.
