Good Practice for Providing Reasonable Access to the Physical Built Environment for Disabled People
This research provides an analysis of the legislative structures and technical expressions of discrimination and disability in the context of the built environment in six European and two non-European states. This project was funded under the Research for Policy Support heading of the European Union's FP6 programme (Contract number: Contract SP24-CT-2004). The research project was co-ordinated by Professor Steven Male (Civil Engineering) in collaboration with Dr Joseph Spiteri (Department of Architecture and Urban Design, University of Malta). Members of the Leeds team included Dr Simon Prideaux and Prof Colin Barnes.
